So when my brother finally popped the question, I in turn had to answer a question; “Of course I will design your wedding stationery”. In a nod to their appreciation of craft beers, I created a craft beer label for their Save the Date cards (disappointingly the budget didn’t stretch to sending out actual beer bottles!) and thus Fitzsween77 was born. Fitzsween 77 is an amalgam of Fitzgerald and Sweeney ; both were born in 1977.

A girl named Sue

Save the Date cards designed for my brother and his then fiancée. I took inspiration from their love of craft beer and created a craft beer label and invented a brewery. Unfortunately the budget didn’t stretch to sending out actual beer bottles.

I printed each card onto watercolour paper and then butchered some sketchbooks so I would have cardboard to attach them to, making them more sturdy and adding a nice tactile quality.
